Girls Rule !

In a first for the prestigious Siemens competition in mathematics, science and technology for pupils American girls won top in the individual and team awards.

The grand prize of $ 100000 grant went to Isha Jain, a senior official in the Freedom High School Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for research on bone growth. Results from nine years of the competition were on 3 December. As winners of the team prize, Janelle Castle Berger and Amanda Harinoff, seniors in Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview, NY, is divided 100000 US dollars grants for research to combat tuberculosis.
